{Zara coat, Target boots, JCrew flannel-old}
The winter this year has felt like someone slammed the collective hand in a drawer...sudden, painful, and unforgiving. Having lived in central Alaska for a time I have experienced very frigid weather with temps dipping into the -50's. The difference here is that we aren't accustomed to that type of deep, bone chilling cold. Beginning this blog in the winter months made it next to impossible to take it outside for photos. Believe you me..I tried. When the weather did "perk" up a bit it either rained or was too blustery and after a couple shots I had to head in. I have to say I wore these boots many days as well as that coat to keep warm and who doesn't love the feel of flannel, especially in a classic gingham print and in my favorite color. As we end one of the prettiest days we have had this season thus far, I am anxious for more warm weather. Change is good.
