Melt My Heart

{JCrew top-on sale, cameo ring-old HRH Collection, bracelets-Lauren Conrad}

The last couple years my birthday has hit on a weekday which makes it truly challenging to get all the members of my family together in the same place and at the same time. We all have our own busy schedules and lives we need to attend to these days. I was elated when we made plans to have lunch together this Sunday. Melt is a restaurant that Cleveland has had bragging rites to for some time but I haven't lived there in years in order to have the chance to enjoy the experience. Since my father passed away I have gone home less and less. I am originally from Brooklyn, which is a small town on the West side. To give you a better idea there were 98 people in my graduating class. I think many people would agree with me when I say the older a city is, the better the food. Cleveland has so many great things, the West Side Market being one of them, and several ethnic food festivals that make it the mini mecca of my own little food world. It's a place where I grew up with all the Catholicism and ethnic food choices that my heart could have ever desired. I miss it sometimes. Now that Melt is here in Columbus I can finally have a little taste of home and enough cheese and carbs that would make any girl weak at the knees.  #foodcrush

For all my peeps back home - THE PARMANATOR. There is a dream sammy just for me with  perogie and kraut!!

No better birthday present than this. <3
