Not everything in life is perpetually enjoyable. I had a meeting in the early hours of the morning that I have not been looking forward to for some time. I got up, had not slept well the night before, and felt well, truly exhausted. I decided to give it my best effort and get dressed up. I figured I could at least look my best even if I didn't feel my best. Lately, I have been drawn to pieces with some sort of lace accent and I like to pair them with something a bit more rugged. In the past I would have shied away from something like this but it just felt right when I saw it hanging on the rack. Very few things on a day like today can make a person feel pretty but this did the trick. I was sorry when I had to take it off.
