Perhaps because roses aren't the pinnacle of my floral obsession, I just didn't think it would appeal to me. If roses represent love, then maybe because that special connection hasn't happened for me yet, I just don't see any reason to buy them. Besides that, they are so typical (sigh). Then I visit this place nestled off High Street behind Whetstone Recreation Center. It nurtures over 400 different varieties covering 13 acres of property! Can we talk about the difference between a garden rose and the store bought variety??? I think I have been converted. I have to say that not only was I spell - bound by the lush variety in pigmentation, but the vast array of other flowers and plants featured there. When I told some of the girls at work, they themselves had never taken the time to go either... and it is FREE. I had initially gone to shoot photo's for an upcoming outfit post, but was entranced by the beauty of this place, and was caught up watching all the busy little bees which wanted nothing to do with me (and I was fine with that).
