I cannot tell you how many times I have pulled up an article on how to dress for your body type. Then I sit there trying to decipher where exactly I fall. After five pregnancies and gaining upwards of 55 pounds each time (that's an extra 275 pounds) and then losing it every time, my body has changed a bit. So where I was before children is not where I am today. I think that's true of every woman whether you have children or not. You can either embrace it or constantly try and compare yourself to everybody else. I struggle like we all do with doing that. I won't, however, subscribe to the idea that dressing a certain way based on age or body type is something I must adhere to. I won't dress by those rules. I think it's about fit and confidence. I own a lot of really short skirts and very high heels, leather dresses and fitted tops, low cut sweaters and heavy chain jewels and I have no intention of ever giving those things up, Knowing who you are is also about knowing what you love to wear and doing that unapologetically. That coincides with my everlasting love of the tall boot. Adding these to my collection was a must because I needed a pair of suede, charcoal colored, knee high boots. I did. Sorry I'm not sorry.
Lauren Conrad top from here. Mossimo jeans from here. Boots are Dolce Vita from here. This little bag I have been carrying everywhere lately is from here.
Meghan Tainor - of course.
