{Chocolate with peanut butter frosting.}
My life at home requires me to spend an insane amount of time in the car. Most days after I get off work I can be in the car for two hours at a minimum. There were days in my very recent past where it was upwards of four and that was with other families helping me with transportation. Having five athlete children, all in a travel sport, was something that was a very exciting and joy filled time in my life but was something I wasn't able to support on my own, so we had to let it go. In the last year or so my life has shifted now that two of my oldest are both going to play college soccer here in Ohio. Now my longest trips have been to see them, or to visit their respective campuses. I get to watch them play the sport they love so much. Who knew that getting them involved for fitness reasons would turn into a way of life. I still love the quiet solitude of those long drives, now with a new purpose. An opportunity to clear my head, roll down the windows, crank up the radio and just be. A little escape from my every day life... even if for just an hour. Grab a cupcake on the way from one of the oldest bakeries in the area, and I can truly say this stage of my life is bittersweet.
